Wcpss Calendar 2023 24 – Parents and guardians be aware, WCPSS will be delayed one hour today, Wednesday, November 30, 2022, to ensure the transportation of students and staff. School starts at 9:00 AM.

Parents and guardians be aware, due to storm/flooding expected later this afternoon/evening, WCPSS will be suspended at 12:45 p.m. Today. This ensures that the buses get our students home safely and on time.

Parents and guardians, all WCPSS teachers, staff and students look forward to returning to school tomorrow, Monday, November 28, 2022. We look forward to seeing the students and We’re still going through the rest of 2022.

Hello parents, a reminder that flu season is upon us. In an effort to reduce the spread of the virus in our system, the Department of Nursing asks students to take advantage of the free clinic that will be held on December 12, 2022 at schools universal government. Last week Dr. Charles Kidd and his technical team visited all campuses of WCPSS nursing facilities. During the trip, the team was able to connect all the mobile devices used by each school. The telehealth program allows us to offer these options to the students and parents of our school. We are happy to have this new feature that will serve our system well. Please, if your child is showing symptoms related to Covid-19, or has been infected by someone who has been infected, we ask that you do not send them to school right away. If your child tests positive, shows symptoms, or is in contact with something positive, contact your child’s school nurse. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and update you as more information becomes available. Peacebuilders And Restorative Practices: Wake County Public School System

On November 8, 2021, WCPSS 8-4 will be celebrating Parents’ Day at each school. Students will work from home. Parents are allowed to visit the school with their child’s teacher to discuss the student’s progress. All WCPSS students and staff will be on holiday on November 11, 2021 in honor of Veterans Day. November 12, 2021 is Valentine’s Day. Students and staff will represent the theme of “Kindness is Contagious” by wearing t-shirts with a friend. On November 17, 2021, students will receive progress reports. From November 22 -26, 2021, WCPSS will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday.
