Caleb Williams runs for a touchdown in USC’s 48-45 win against UCLA on Nov. 19, 2022, at the Rose Bowl. The teams will meet on November 18, 2023 at the Coliseum.
USC’s 2023 football schedule was an unfortunate state of affairs. With Brigham Young pulled out of a scheduled November meeting with the Trojans in the Cougars’ impending move to the Big 12, USC has played a dozen straight without a break.
Utah Gymnastics Announces 2023 Schedule
The draw was part of the difficulty of scheduling the Notre Dame game, a challenge USC’s leaders have long faced. The Trojans played 12 games in 12 weeks in 2017, and their chances in 2023, their final year in the Pac-12, were limited.
So USC chose a different strategy. Instead of scheduling another non-conference opponent in their Week 3 opener, USC will begin its 2023 campaign with a Week Zero matchup against San Jose State on Aug. 26 at the Coliseum.
USC’s return to world-class college football under Lincoln Riley was still lacking in some key areas. What changes will there be in the program?
Cal Women’s Gymnastics Announces 2023 Schedule
Heading into last season, USC was able to pull off a Week 3 bye and pull off what would have been a brutal sweep before entering the Big Ten.
The latest Pac-12 road suspension was announced Wednesday. And as it turned out, USC’s early start and extra bye plan offered only so much comfort because the schedule is much tighter than 2022.
USC will play three games at home, including its opener against Stanford, and then on Sept. 16, technically in Week 3 of the college football calendar. The Trojans will then play nine consecutive weeks before their next bye on Nov. 25.
Kentucky Vs. Tennessee, Ucla Vs. Arizona Among 10 Most Exciting College Basketball Games Ahead In 2023
The layoff before the Pac-12 title game could pay off big — if the Trojans can survive the conference sweep that preceded it. That was the thinking when USC drafted the policy in March.
USC hopes to go 6-0 when it travels to Notre Dame on Oct. 14, having not won since 2011. A week after that, the Trojans host Utah at the Coliseum in a game that could decide the course of the conference.
USC coach Lincoln Riley to keep defensive coordinator Alex Grinch: “I’ve been through enough with this guy to know, don’t hold it against him.”
Ucla Attendance Falls Despite On Field Success
The trip to Berkeley caps an otherwise terrible stretch to end the season. In the final three weeks, USC will face Washington at home, Oregon on the road and UCLA at the Coliseum. All three of those opponents were ranked in the final Associated Press poll for the 2022 season.
It may not be the smooth ride USC would have hoped for in its final season in the Pac-12. The conference could be vastly improved in 2023 as veteran quarterbacks return to lead the charge and new coaches shake up the status quo.
USC will be among the first in the conference to try out new coaches in Arizona (Kenny Dillingham) and Colorado (Deion Sanders). The Trojans will meet both weeks in September before hosting Arizona, another up-and-coming conference team, on Oct. 6 or 7.

While the move seems ridiculous, it’s the pinnacle of where college sports is headed and a sign of where it’s headed next.
Share all sharing options: USC and UCLA Don’t Make Sense in the Big Ten. That’s what it’s all about.
The Big Ten is the oldest collegiate athletic conference in the United States, founded in 1896. It existed for more than a century as a competitive organization for athletes at geographically convenient member schools. Nine of the 10 participating institutions were public schools with large numbers of students until the 1990s. Seven of the 10 were in states bordering Lake Michigan. Dozens of other conferences sprung up around the country that followed the Big Ten’s plan: they were regional, such as the self-explanatory Southeastern Conference; many had ideologically similar schools, such as the Catholic Greater East.
Ucla Vs. Arizona State Prediction, Odds, Lines, Picks, And Preview January 19
On Thursday, news broke that the Big Ten is working on a move that will fundamentally scrap what’s left of the old regional conference model. USC and UCLA – it’s a university
— will join the conference after about 100 years in the league, now known as the Pac-12. Like last year’s news that Texas and Oklahoma were moving to the SEC, this explosion is both completely unexpected and on the verge of completion. The presidents of the Big Ten members have voted unanimously to admit the California brothers.
The Big Ten was once the Midwest division, and now it’s poised to stretch from coast to coast. It expanded east, adding Penn State in 1990 and Maryland and Rutgers in 2014. With the addition of two schools in Los Angeles, the conference will cover the entire continental United States. The longest distance between the two Super Big Ten opponents will be approximately 2,800 miles from L.A. to Piscataway. The

The Big Ten member institution of the two L.A. school is Nebraska, 1,500 miles and two time zones away. The move is clearly an attempt to keep up with Jones. When the SEC announced its plans to add Texas and Oklahoma in 2021, it signaled the beginning of the super conference era. Leagues have long had a cultural identity around which their fans could rally; Now the culture of every conference is “let’s add the schools that can make the most money.” If you can think of a notable cultural connection between Los Angeles and Iowa City, please let me know.
The idea is that TV networks pay big bucks to a conference to air football games with two big-name schools — the quality of the teams and the Q-rating of the schools matter more than whether the game is a long-running regional game. . competition. And for UCLA and USC, it’s worth noting that the Big Ten’s media rights deals are
Compared to the Pac-12. In 2021, every Big Ten school received more than $40 million from this alone; each Pac-12 school received less than $20 million. The Big Ten’s numbers are expected to grow after 2023, when the next TV deal is in place. An especially large number will increase with two new campers.
