Syracuse University 2023 Calendar – SYRA, N.Y. – in 2023 The Syra University men’s lacrosse team faces another challenging schedule as the Orange prepares for its second season under head coach Gary Gait.
Syra will play nine times at the JMA Wireless Dome this spring, including historic matchups against Hobart and Johns Hopkins. ‘ will also face three ACC opponents at home this spring.

This season’s opponents finished last spring with a combined record of 117-83, with six teams advancing to their respective conference tournaments and four to the NCAA Tournament, including two semifinalists and three quarterfinalists. in 2023 campaign season tickets are now on sale for $85 each. Syracuse Mets Announce 2022 Schedule
Syra leads the season with three consecutive home games, and will face reigning America East champion Vermont (Feb. 4), UAlbany (Feb. 10) and Holy Cross (Feb. 12) in eight days.
The Orange have an early test on the road against defending national champion Maryland (Feb. 18) before returning to the JMA Dome for three more home games. The second home series begins with two ACC opponents, North Carolina (Feb. 26) and Duke (March 5), before ending with a historic showdown with Johns Hopkins (March 11).
To save the day, Syra heads to Hempstead, N.Y., for a mid-March clash at Hofstra (March 14) before returning for another three-game homestand. The final set of home games begins at San Bonaventure (March 21). The Kraus-Simmons Trophy is up for grabs again as the Orange host longtime foe Hobart before their final regular season home game against Notre Dame (April 1).
Syracuse Crunch Announce 2022 23 Regular Season Schedule
Syra will be tested on the road through the end of April, and the regular season will end with four straight contests in 2022. NCAA semifinals at Princeton (April 8), followed by three ACC games: North Carolina (April 15), Virginia (April 22), and Duke (April 29).
The first round of the NCAA Tournament is scheduled for May 13 and 14 on campus, with quarterfinal action scheduled for Albany, New York (April 20) and Annapolis, Maryland (April 21).
NCAA Championship Weekend will be held at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The semi-final is scheduled for May 27, and in 2023 The NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Championship will be held on May 29.

Syra brings one of the best recruiting classes to Inside Lacrosse. This year’s freshman class ranks fourth in the publication’s rankings with 57 stars, including four five-star recruits (Joey Spallina, Finn Thomson, Riley Figueiras, Billy Dwan and Jimmy McCool) who were all ranked in the top 20. in 2023 recruitment class.
The Orange also named five captains for next season: Pete Fiorini, Max Ross, Griffin Cook, Cole Kirst and Caden Cole.
